Travel to Hokkaido - Mt. Asahidake

On the 2nd day of my visit to Hokkaido my friend Rie and I went to Asahidake hotsprings together for an overnight trip. It's a hotsprings located on the hillside of Mt.Asahidake, the highest mountain in Hokkaido. There are around 10 hotels but no ordinary houses and shops so very quiet place especialy in winter.

The nice hotel we stayed. In the evening we enjoyed nice dinner in its restaurant and glasses of cocktail in the bar.

And of course we enjoyed its hot springs. From its open-air bath we could see snow-covered forest, we felt warm enough in hot water but our wet hair has frozen! At midnight we went outside of the building and looked up the marvelous starry sky! It's just wonderful in the coldness and quietude.

Next day the weather was wonderful, we took the aerial cableway to go up near to the mountain top. The pure whiteness of mountain snow was just ...beautiful, and the cold, fresh air was also great.

This is me sitting on the snow, and the mountain top of Asahidake.

Thus I enjoyed my trip to Hokkaido very much! It's just 3 days but very refreshing!
