(The view from the hotel room. If the weather is good we'd have the great view of Mt.Fuji just here on the lake!)
But we visited a museum on this lake and enjoyed very much. It's a gem museum, small but has nice exhibition of various gems.
On the second day it's not raining but still cloudy, we visited a small open air museum, a village of the restored old farmhouses with thatched roof. The place had "nostalgic" atmosphere, and in each restored houses local old people were making and selling the simple handicrafts. I loved to see those old houses very much and bought one or two traditional food.
(They displayed many Hina dolls in one of the old houses, it's fabulous.)
I found a nice lampshade made of gourd in one of the shops, and for talking with the staffs who were old local villagers was also enjoyable, I paid and brought it back home. It's amazing that this is handmade.
