This morning I visited a town which faces Uraga-Suido, the channel at the southern end of Tokyo bay & the waterway for the ships heading to Yokohama and Tokyo. The town I visited was just a residential area but it had a nice atmosphere of seafront town, and from the waterfront sideway I could sea beautiful blue sky and Mt.Fuji in the distance.

Also I saw many ships sailing offshore - mostly tankers, no pleasure boats. It made me think that this was really a gateway to the world... and I thought that living in such seafront town might be quite nice.
