This is the traditional style shelves in the best room in our house. To build a new house we'll throw down the present house including these old parts, and we'd like to use some of them in the new house as the keepsake of our old house. So yesterday carpenters visited here to remove them from this room.
This part of the house is old, I think built before the last war so the structure was interesting to see. The carpenter removed the shelves and a pillar neatly, built a temporary wall. It's quite interesting to see his quick and efficient job.
This is the removed shelves, fixed with carpentry, without nails. Isn't it neat?
They'll keep these old wood shelves for a while, the architect is thinking where we can use them in the new house.
