some image of death

Just in case where someone might be interested in Japanese funeral custom, these photos could be interesting, I think.

Because the crematory is busy in this season my aunt's funeral will be on next Thursday and her coffin is still in the house (Our house is a two-family house and she had lived under the same roof as my parents - but in her own rooms, kitchen and bathroom).

(maybe one of the typical images of death - a coffin, flowers, black-framed photograph, incense stick and some offering food.)

(This is what you can see only on the funeral. A bowl of boiled rice with chopsticks stuck straight into it. This is the reason why you MUST not stick them into rice in Japan - Japanese never do it because this is the style just for the dead.)
