too much information... X(

I'm trying to reorganize the travel plan which I had to cancel recently. I will visit Boston, USA and need to find an accommodation. It's a very popular city for visitors and hotel rooms are generally expensive, and I can't afford to pay $400 (!!) for one night lodging. Also, most of the nice small accommodation has 3 nights or sometimes 4 nights "minimum stay" request so it's not easy to find a good lodging.
I have browsed for hours and checked the countless reviews by other customers to find a good hotel or B&B. They are often helpful to make decision, but, you know... any good hotel has some negative reviews - noisy, rude staff, useless air conditioning etc - and of course nobody want to feel unpleasant when he pay not a small amount of money.
After browsing countless web-pages I felt really exhausted and almost felt like I don't want to go there X(

Various information on internet is really useful still I believe... too much information makes the situation more difficult and makes us really unhappy :(
